Bitcoin Erases CPI Gains as MicroStrategy Stays Quiet

Bitcoin had a bumpy week, initially dipping below $62,000 because of tensions in the Middle East and MicroStrategy making its largest sale to date. Positive news arrived on Tuesday when the latest US inflation data came in lower than expected at 3.5 percent. This sparked a quick rally that pushed the price up to a three week high of $65,500, but the excitement did not last long.

The rally cooled off quickly, and the price drifted back toward $63,000. While Bitcoin struggled to hold its ground, some altcoins felt even more heat. Solana and Cardano both saw significant drops, while the HYPE token fell over 12 percent. On the other hand, ONDO managed a double digit gain, showing that some corners of the market are still finding buyers.

Investors also watched the largest corporate Bitcoin holder closely. After its previous sale, MicroStrategy simply boosted its cash reserves by $450 million without selling any more coins this week. This pause in selling provided a bit of stability, even as other news like Crypto.com securing $400 million in funding from Citadel Securities grabbed headlines.

Looking ahead, the market seems to be caught between cooling inflation and rising global risks. Traders are watching for whether Bitcoin can reclaim the $64,000 level or if it will face more pressure from geopolitical news.
