Bitcoin Price Is Rising But Spot Liquidity Remains Low

Bitcoin has put on an impressive show over the last two months, climbing from July lows of $58,500 to flirt with the $82,000 mark. Despite this positive price action, data shows that the actual cash flowing into spot markets is not keeping pace. While futures traders are buying aggressively, the underlying volume on spot exchanges remains in neutral territory.

Exchange data highlights this trend clearly. Stablecoin reserves on Binance, which reached a record $50 billion earlier this cycle, dropped by nearly $7 billion starting in October. Although these reserves have grown by $1.6 billion over the past month, the overall trend is still recovering from a sharp contraction. Analysts point out that while Bitcoin is showing strong technical momentum with its moving averages trending upward, we need a clean move above $80,000 to bring sidelined liquidity back into the market.

Looking ahead, traders are watching the $74,000 support level closely. If Bitcoin holds this line, the bullish setup stays intact, but the next major hurdle sits at $83,000. Big holders are currently staying on the sidelines, showing very little change in their positions over the last week. This indicates that major investors are waiting for more clarity before committing to their next move.
