Bitcoin Red Team Flags Thousands of Security Issues

A volunteer group known as the Bitcoin Red Team has uncovered 4,962 potential security issues across 390 different Bitcoin projects. The findings came to light during the group's first 29 hours of reviews, which utilized artificial intelligence to scan codebases. Out of the total number of flags, developers classified 720 issues as having high or critical severity.

Prominent Bitcoin developer Calle shared the update, highlighting the sheer volume of vulnerabilities found in the ecosystem. This massive security sweep follows a recent exploit involving the Coldcard hardware wallet, which put developers and users on high alert regarding the safety of crypto tools and infrastructure.
