LIVEBitcoin has put on a strong show in July, bouncing nicely from early lows under $58,000 to trade near $65,000. While the coin hit a monthly peak of $67,000 earlier in the week, traders are now being told to prepare for a rough shift in market momentum as the calendar flips.
Well known market analyst Ali Martinez has pointed out a tough historical trend for the asset during the eighth month of the year. According to data, every single August since 2022 has ended in the red, including sharp drops of 14 percent in 2022 and over 11 percent the following year. While strong August gains happened back in 2013 and 2017, only three out of the last 12 Augusts have actually finished with positive returns.
Adding to the cautious outlook, another analyst named Rekt Capital noted that the current July rebound follows a brutal June where prices tumbled by more than 20 percent. Because the recent bounce has not fully erased those earlier losses, experts view this as a sign of weakening support over time.
Traders should keep a close eye on the upcoming monthly candle close and watch how the asset behaves around the crucial $60,000 support area. If history repeats itself, managing risk carefully over the next few weeks will be vital for the market.
