LIVEBreez has released a new application called Glow, aimed at making Lightning Network transactions simpler for regular users while acting as an open source blueprint for builders. The app packages essential features to help developers see what is possible when integrating Bitcoin into their own software.
Because the app is open source, developers can inspect the codebase to see how features like passkey logins, Lightning addresses, and stablecoin transfers work. Instead of building these tools from scratch, builders can examine the API calls, fork the code, rebrand it, and ship their own products quickly. Breez also points out that the regulatory footprint stays minimal because developers using the software development kit never take custody of user funds.
This release follows a partnership with Turnkey announced last month, which allows developers to add non custodial Bitcoin features to applications running wallets from their own servers. Keys remain out of reach of the app servers, Breez, and Turnkey, putting full authority to move funds directly in the hands of the user.
Traders and developers should watch how consumer facing applications adopt these non custodial tools moving forward. Solutions that lower the barrier to entry for mainstream platforms could drive wider adoption of Bitcoin and Lightning technology across the broader market.
