Charles Hoskinson: AI Makes Crypto Developer Counts Obsolete

He argues that AI coding assistants have removed the scarcity of human talent, making it easy for anyone to produce code without having actual technical experience.

Despite this stance, the Midnight Foundation, which is part of the Cardano ecosystem, continues to run hackathons that reward code output. Hoskinson admits he holds a different view than these foundations, showing a clear split within the organizations tied to his projects. He remains focused on moving toward ventures that have real financial backing and paying customers.

Investors are keeping an eye on whether this change in focus will help or hinder the platform in the coming months. With the price of ADA currently stable, the market appears to be waiting to see if quality output from dedicated builders will eventually replace the old reliance on simple developer numbers.
