Emirates Now Accepts Crypto for Flight Bookings

Emirates has officially started accepting Crypto.com Pay as a payment method for customers in the United Arab Emirates. Travelers can now use their crypto wallet balance to book flights directly on the official Emirates website or mobile application. The service is currently limited to eligible UAE residents, with all fares processed in Emirati dirhams.

The process is designed for quick mobile use. When using the app, travelers are redirected to their Crypto.com account to approve the transaction. On the desktop site, a QR code appears at checkout for users to scan with their mobile device. Once the payment is confirmed, the airline issues the e ticket immediately.

This partnership follows a memorandum of understanding signed last year. It also aligns with Dubai's broader economic goal to digitize the vast majority of local transactions by the end of 2026. For now, users should watch to see if this payment option expands to other regions or if additional digital assets are added to the checkout flow in the future.
