LIVECrypto treasury firm Empery Digital recently sold 1,400 Bitcoin to fund a major shift into artificial intelligence infrastructure. Filings show the company generated roughly $87.1 million from the sales between May and July. Part of the funds paid down debt, while the rest went toward new physical real estate projects.
The firm closed a $20 million investment in Cardinal Data Power, taking an eight percent stake in the Texas data center developer. Empery also committed to a separate $65 million Midwest property acquisition. Because of these new priorities, the company stopped using its old Bitcoin dashboard, noting that simple crypto tracking no longer reflects its total business value.
Even after the sell off, Empery still holds 1,514 Bitcoin alongside $45 million in debt. Traders are now watching to see if these physical real estate projects will pay off or if the pivot away from pure crypto reserves creates new risks for the balance sheet.
