MEXC Stock Futures Volume Spikes 130 Percent in August
Trading activity on MEXC shifted toward semiconductor and memory stocks as investors moved away from broad market indices.
MEXC reported a major increase in interest for its stock futures products throughout August. Trading volume for stock, index, and ETF futures jumped 130 percent compared to the previous month. The platform also expanded its offerings, adding more contracts to bring the total to over 400 available options for users.
The most notable trend was a strong focus on semiconductor and memory companies. Futures tracking names like SK Hynix and Micron saw massive volume increases as traders spread their activity across multiple companies rather than focusing on a single stock. This shift extended to ETFs as well, with semiconductor linked products recording substantial growth while interest in broad index futures like the S&P 500 declined.
Spot trading for tokenized stocks and ETFs also saw a 30 percent boost in volume. High performers included crypto related listings like Coinbase and Robinhood, alongside AI infrastructure firms. Nearly all tokenized stock listings on the platform recorded higher volumes during the month, suggesting that users are increasingly comfortable using crypto accounts to access traditional equity markets.
Looking ahead, the data shows a clear appetite for 24/7 access to traditional assets. Trading during weekend hours accounted for over 10 percent of the monthly volume, proving that investors value the ability to manage positions even when regular stock exchanges are closed.
