LIVEMicroStrategy has officially extended its streak of not buying Bitcoin to five weeks. The company announced this week that it added 525 million dollars to its cash reserves, but opted not to acquire any additional BTC. This marks the third straight week of inactivity regarding their Bitcoin stash.
This pause follows a recent two week period where the firm sold 3,588 BTC to generate 216 million dollars. These sales were part of a new monetization program aimed at supporting cash reserves and dividend payments. Despite these sales, the company remains the biggest corporate owner of Bitcoin with 843,775 coins in its possession.
Beyond their Bitcoin holdings, leadership is turning attention toward their own stock. Chairman Michael Saylor confirmed the firm repurchased nearly 290,000 shares of its STRC preferred stock. Investors are watching closely to see if this shift toward liquidity and share buybacks continues or if the firm will soon return to its aggressive Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
