LIVEFormer employees of the Solana launchpad Pump.fun are expressing anger after losing out on substantial token payouts. According to reports, staff members were let go just two months before their PUMP tokens were scheduled to vest. Shortly after these dates passed, the project unlocked 50 billion tokens for the core team.
An anonymous account representing over forty former workers published termination emails this week. Co founder Noah Tweedale previously stated that the spring layoffs happened because the business grew too quickly, offering severance of one week of salary for every month worked. One departing worker reportedly missed out on PUMP tokens worth seven figures at current market prices.
Despite the controversy, the token market has remained relatively calm, with PUMP trading up nearly six percent over the day. However, official verification remains difficult because required UK corporate financial filings are currently overdue. Pump.fun has not yet issued a public response to the allegations.
