Ripple Set for Massive 1 Billion XRP Token Release in August

Ripple is getting ready to release 1 billion XRP from its escrow accounts on August 1st. This scheduled event usually sparks chatter among traders because the tokens are worth roughly $1.1 billion at current market rates. XRP traded around $1.10 recently, showing a slight dip over a 24 hour window while maintaining solid trading volume.

While a 1 billion token influx sounds massive, past patterns show that Ripple rarely dumps the entire amount onto the open market.
