LIVEStrategy reported a net loss of $8.22 billion for the second quarter of 2026. The Nasdaq listed company formerly known as MicroStrategy blamed the steep loss on falling crypto prices, which marks a sharp contrast from the $10.02 billion net income reported during the same period in 2025.
Strategy CEO Phong Le stated that the firm strengthened its balance sheet during the downturn. Meanwhile, Chairman Michael Saylor expressed confidence in establishing digital credit as a new asset class despite current market skepticism. Bitcoin currently trades around $64,745, which is roughly 50 percent lower than its all time high of $126,080 from October 2025.
Even with the financial hit, Strategy grew its digital asset holdings by 11 percent over the quarter. The company now holds 843,775 coins valued at approximately $54.6 billion. Traders should keep an eye on corporate treasury buying trends as the broader market searches for a lasting price bottom.
