LIVEMicroStrategy is taking a break from its aggressive bitcoin acquisition strategy. The company currently holds 845,050 BTC, which it acquired at an average price of $75,412. Despite holding a massive fortune, the firm has only made one purchase in the last three months, opting instead to focus on repurchasing its own stock as the price trends upward.
In a different approach, Strive is moving ahead with more buying. CEO Matt Cole recently confirmed that the firm added 469 BTC to its balance sheet for $36.6 million. This purchase brings their total holdings to 25,000 BTC. The capital for this latest move was raised through the company's SATA vehicle, which has now crossed the $1 billion mark in notional outstanding.
Traders are watching these diverging strategies closely. While MicroStrategy remains the dominant corporate player, the consistent buying activity from firms like Strive shows that the institutional appetite for bitcoin is still very active. Investors will be keeping a close eye on whether MicroStrategy decides to jump back into the market or if other corporate players continue to grab the supply.
