LIVEA fresh study from the National Cryptocurrency Association and the Pragmatic Policy Group reveals that the American crypto industry will inject fifty five billion dollars into the national economy by 2026. Even though the sector employs just 34,000 direct workers, the financial impact is huge. The findings come from a report titled Crypto at Work, which uses data from federal labor and economic bureaus to map out the footprint of digital assets in the United States.
Workers in the space take home an average salary of 133,000 dollars a year. That figure is more than double the national median wage of 64,000 dollars, and it beats average pay rates in traditional tech and manufacturing fields. Researchers used a standard input output model to show that every direct crypto job supports roughly six additional jobs in other sectors, bringing the total supported workforce to 232,000 people.
Geographically, the industry remains concentrated in a few states, with California, New York, and Texas accounting for sixty percent of all related jobs. Meanwhile, heartland states are starting to catch up, with places like Colorado and North Dakota emerging as rising hubs due to favorable policies and innovative energy projects. Industry advocates hope these numbers will give lawmakers a clearer picture of how digital assets benefit local communities and the broader financial landscape.
