LIVEThe XRP Ledger is facing a sharp decline in network usage. Recent data shows that the number of active accounts on the network fell to 7,630 on July 20, which is a significant drop from the 15,571 accounts recorded on January 1. This 51 percent decrease marks the lowest level of activity for the network so far in 2026.
The slowdown is largely tied to a decrease in tokenization volume across the platform. Transfer volume for real world assets on the ledger fell by over 80 percent recently, landing at about 99 million dollars. Additionally, stablecoin transfer volume on the network has declined by more than 28 percent.
Despite this drop in on chain metrics, the price of XRP remains resilient. The coin is currently trading near 1 dollar and 9 cents, successfully retesting support levels from June. Technical indicators suggest that the token could see a rally toward 1 dollar and 35 cents, supported by signs of accumulation from large holders as the supply on exchanges continues to shrink.
Market watchers are now waiting to see if network activity will recover. If user engagement begins to climb again, it could provide the necessary momentum to push the price higher. For now, the disconnect between low network activity and steady price action remains a key area to monitor.
