Zamanat has announced a new private credit fund domiciled in the DIFC with a target size of up to $100 million. The initiative aims to help bridge the estimated $250 billion credit gap for small and medium enterprises in the Gulf region. While these businesses drive significant portions of the local economy, they often struggle to secure traditional bank loans.

The fund introduces the ZM1 Investment Token, which will be issued on the ZIGChain network. By using a tokenized structure, Zamanat intends to bring private credit into a regulated digital environment overseen by the Dubai Financial Services Authority. This approach allows professional investors to participate in the fund while maintaining institutional standards of security and administration.

Managed by Truleum Venture Partners with administration from Apex Group, the project acts as a proof point for how digital assets can support real world financing. This move aligns with broader national goals in countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE to expand access to alternative capital for growing businesses.

Looking ahead, Zamanat plans to grow its pipeline of digital assets across sectors like real estate and receivables. As the global demand for Shariah compliant digital investments grows, this project serves as an early example of how regulated frameworks can connect institutional capital with local business needs.
