LIVEHyperscale Data is reshaping its business model by trading crypto assets for artificial intelligence infrastructure. The company recently sold 150.5 Bitcoin for about $9.6 million, bringing its remaining treasury holdings down to roughly 958.5 BTC. Executive leaders noted that the data center project is a top priority, which justifies reducing their digital asset reserves to fund the transition.
The capital is going directly toward converting a Michigan mining site into an AI data center. Management expects this AI division to generate between $40 million and $50 million in 2027. That figure represents a small fraction of the company's projected $350 million total revenue for that year, with lending and established portfolio companies carrying the heaviest load.
While the immediate financial return looks modest, the firm secured a major long term contract with a California neocloud provider. This agreement could eventually yield over $1.2 billion across a ten year term, with options for substantial expansion.
Traders should watch how Hyperscale manages its remaining Bitcoin treasury alongside new debt facilities like its Morpho loan. As the company treats 2027 as a transition year, the success of its staged data center rollout will dictate whether this bold bet pays off in the long run.
