LIVEMorgan Stanley is growing its Bitcoin position through its Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust. The fund recorded a net inflow of 3.76 million dollars on September 11. This brings the total net assets of the trust to approximately 610.13 million dollars. The firm has consistently added to its holdings, registering inflows for four days in a row and purchasing Bitcoin on 11 of the last 20 trading days.
This steady buying pattern stands out compared to other industry giants. For instance, the iShares Bitcoin Trust managed by BlackRock recently saw three consecutive days of net outflows totaling over 63 million dollars. Since its launch, the Morgan Stanley trust has only recorded one day of net outflows, showing a strong commitment to accumulation despite broader market trends.
Bitcoin recently saw a price rally of over 24 percent throughout the last month, reaching a trading price near 78,520 dollars. While the coin has spent the last few weeks in a consolidation phase, trader interest is picking up again as the market keeps a close eye on legislative developments in the United States regarding crypto regulation.
Investors are now watching to see if BlackRock will return to buying territory. If both major funds resume heavy accumulation at the same time, it could provide the momentum needed for Bitcoin to break out of its current sideways pattern and regain a stronger bullish trend.
