LIVEMajor corporate treasury firms kept buying digital assets last week even as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana drifted through a soft September market. Digital asset prices faced fresh uncertainty ahead of an upcoming Federal Reserve interest rate decision. While most corporate buyers expanded their holdings, some notable names took a different approach.
BitMine Immersion Technologies added 27,180 Ethereum to its stack, bringing its total position close to five percent of the circulating supply. Meanwhile, Nasdaq listed Solana treasury firm DeFi Development Corporation grew its holdings by two percent. On the Bitcoin side, Strive purchased 469 coins to bring its total treasury to 25,000 bitcoins, while industry giant Strategy sat out the buying spree to focus on stock repurchases instead.
These acquisitions come at a crucial time for the broader market. Traders are preparing for the Federal Open Market Committee meeting on September 16, with expectations leaning toward a quarter point rate hike. Higher rates often pressure non yielding assets, making the coming weeks a major test for corporate treasury strategies if prices face a deeper slump.
